Al-Ashraf Primary School is offering a full time vacancy for a teaching post in Reception class as Maternity cover. The initial post is for 2 terms with a possibility of it being extended to a further 4 terms in Academic Year 2012/13. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in an independent school led and managed by motivated and supportive parents. The successful applicant will be required to start from 19th March 2012 to allow a smooth handover from our existing Reception teacher.

It is our aim at Al-Ashraf, Insha-Allah, to impart the highest standards of education to our children. Together with this, we also aim to build strong Islamic foundations, which include development of positive Islamic thoughts, good manners and respect and a deep sense of love for Islam as a way of life.
As parents, we must play our role in all this by ensuring that we provide a good Islamic environment at home, which will support the school's Islamic ethos. Likewise, it is important that we become good Muslim role models for our children.
School Fees for Academic year 2011/12
We continue to strive hard to make Al-Ashraf Primary School affordable for all families, however a minimal increase has regrettably had to be included. The fees for the school year starting from Sept 2011 are set as below
Reception : £600 (inc £50 registration fee)
Year 1 : £650
Year 2 : £700
Year 3 : £725
Year 4 : £725
Year 5 : £750
A £50 discount can be applied for each sibling.
If you prefer to make regular payments please request a standing order form from the school office.
School Start times
A reminder to all parents that school start times at Al-Ashraf Primary School is as follows:
School Gates Open: 8:25am
School Doors Open: 8:30am
Registration: 8:40am
Doors locked: 8:40am
(pupils arriving after this time must report with their parent/guardian to the school office to be escorted to their classroom and will be marked as late).
KS1 SATs results for 2010
The pupils of Al-Ashraf Primary School have again posted excellent KS1 SATs results for 2010. The results continue to exceed Government targets across all the core marked subjects and show 100% pass rate for reading.
