The AASSG House System is designed to cultivate a strong sense of belonging, promote healthy competition, and nurture leadership skills amongst our students.
House Captains, alongside their year group teams, play a vital role in inspiring and motivating their peers to actively participate in inter-House competitions and events throughout the academic year.
A variety of House events are held across all year groups, ensuring every student has the opportunity to represent their House in areas they enjoy or excel in. These events include sporting challenges, art and cookery competitions, creative pursuits, and other initiatives led by House Heads, PSHE staff and the Student School Council.
All pupils have the chance to earn House Points—also referred to as merits—which are central to our reward and recognition system. Points are awarded for academic achievement, lesson participation, effort, community engagement, and performance in House competitions. Students are also rewarded for exemplifying Islamic values, doing the right thing, and going above and beyond in their conduct.
At the end of the academic year, the House with the highest cumulative score is awarded the House Cup. InshaAllah.
