Islamic Studies and Arabic Qa'ida teacher

Year 1 Class

Responsible to teach Islamic studies using the school's long-term plan, as well as Ahsan al-Qawaid.

Hours:
6 hours per week during term time
11:45 - 12:45 lesson time (total 5 hours)
PPA – planning preparation and assessment (total 1 hour)

As a teacher, you will be required to attend termly meetings and work beyond these hours to complete reasonable tasks as agreed.

Competitive salary based on our pay scale, plus holiday pay (5.6 weeks).

Key requirements:

  • Proficient spoken and written English
  • Teaching experience, ideally with young children
  • Alim/Alima course graduate
  • Proficient Qur'an Tajwid
  • Passionate about teaching and improving
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team

Islamic Studies TA and Qur'an teaching assistant

Oak Class (Year 5/6)

Responsible to support the class teacher and pupils for Islamic Studies, as well as teach Qur'an and Tajweed to a group of pupils.

Hours:
5.5 hours per week during term time
11:45 - 12:45 lesson time (total 5 hours)
PPA – planning preparation and assessment (total 0.5 hours)

As a teaching assistant, you will be required to attend termly meetings and work beyond these hours to complete reasonable tasks as agreed.

Competitive salary based on our pay scale, plus holiday pay (5.6 weeks).

Key requirements:

  • Proficient spoken and written English
  • Proficient Qur'an Tajwid
  • Passionate about teaching and improving
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team
