Islamic Studies and Arabic Qa'ida Teacher

Year 1 Class

Responsible to teach Islamic studies using the school's long-term plan, as well as Ahsan al-Qawaid.

Hours:

  • 6 hours per week during term time
  • 11:30 - 12:30 lesson time
  • One hour per week for PPA

As a teacher, you will be required to attend termly meetings and work beyond these hours to complete reasonable tasks as agreed.

Salary:

£8.72/ NMW, plus 12% holiday pay.

Key requirements:

  • Proficient spoken and written English
  • Teaching experience
  • Alim/Alima course graduate
  • Proficient Qur'an Tajwid
  • Passionate about teaching and improving
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team

Islamic Studies TA and Qur'an Teacher

Oak class (Year 5/6)

Responsible to support the class teacher and pupils for Islamic Studies, as well as teach Qur'an to a group of pupils.

Hours:

  • 5 hours per week during term time
  • 11:30 - 12:30 lesson time

As a teaching assistant, you will be required to attend termly meetings and may need to work beyond these hours to complete reasonable tasks as agreed.

Salary:

National Minimum wage, plus 12% holiday pay.

English and Literacy Lead – Maternity cover until April 2021

Responsible to support the staffing team across EYFS, KS1 and KS2

Areas of focus:

  • Whole school monitoring of English teaching
  • Monitoring Talk 4 Writing strategies in writing
  • Monitoring the teaching and assessment of reading
  • Improving standards in handwriting and presentation across the whole school
  • Monitoring the development of literacy across foundation subjects
  • Monitoring implementation of SPAG
  • And other role-appropriate task
