Our Eco Club was proudly launched this month with an exciting assembly performance by Yr 7 students.
The students acted out a play which was set at AASSG in the future, 2043.
As the students rush in from a storm, they ask their teacher why the weather was now so extreme.
The teacher explained it was all to do with Global Warming and took them on a virtual reality adventure into the past (2023) to see how humans had caused these catastrophic changes.
The play was delivered with confidence and all the students performances were exemplar, MashaAllah.
They finished the assembly by launching the new Eco Club and inviting all KS3 to help protect our planet by doing their part.
Eco Club meets every Tuesday lunchtime where the members discuss how they can implement small changes that will make big differences.
The students are very enthusiastic and have come up with some great ideas which they are excited to see come to fruition, InShaAllah.
Ideas at the first meeting included a vegetable patch, bird feeders, energy saving posters to remind students to switch off the lights when leaving classrooms and many more! InShaAllah
