This term KS3 studied cultural art, exploring history, language, symbolism and meaning. Year 7 discovered how Aboriginal art was used to communicate messages; Year 8 experimented with techniques used in Islamic Art and Year 9 learnt about the Cubist art movement.
Together they created an epic collaboration of artwork, illustrating what they'd learnt through mark-making, dots, symbols, pattern and colour. This was all then exhibited in the form of the 99 Names of Allah, in the run up to Ramadan and Eid. Its now a visual reminder of all the beautiful names and attributes of our Lord, the most high. Masha-Allah.
The students truly enjoyed creating these artworks whilst gaining reward by remembering Allah (SWT).
