How better to understand the digestive system than with a delicious doughnut!!
Year 8 have been learning about the process of digestion and how our marvelous bodies are adapted to making absorption of nutrients most efficient. We discussed how the entire digestive tract was similar to a stretched-out doughnut as food goes in one end and travels through until the other end, just like a marble would roll through the hole in a doughnut! We all agreed… science is not only fun, but it is also delicious!!
