Citizenship Ceremonies 2019

Tuesday 2nd April

The school was invited by Gloucestershire County Council again this year to lead a choir at the Citizenship Ceremonies in which new citizens of the United Kingdom are conferred and welcomed.

Students were given details about the ceremony and auditioned to take part in the school choir. Eleven pupils were chosen. The ceremony gave us a great opportunity to proudly represent our British society through the choice of songs we had chosen.

The pupils also had the opportunity to converse with the Deputy Lord Lieutenant about his role and duty to Her Majesty the Queen.
