We are participating this year in the 10X Challenge, a national competition for young people aged from 11 – 19 years.
Year 9 have started a new biology topic, Organisation. They have looked at what blood is made of, how blood is transported around the body and how the heart works. This week, they worked with great precision to complete a heart dissection.
Year 8 have been looking at Electromagnetism. They have been working very well in groups. They have investigated the magnetic field of bar magnets, plotted the field of electromagnets and completed an investigation into how to increase the strength of an electromagnet.
